How insurance checks, badges, and tasker responsibilities work on TaskAid.

Last updated 8 July 2026 · Operated by TaskAid Pty Ltd

Summary

Some categories require taskers to hold appropriate insurance for the work they perform.

TaskAid may display an Insured badge when a tasker has completed the platform insurance check for their profile.

Insurance checks

Insurance checks may begin with tasker-provided details and internal review.

Where external insurer verification is integrated in future releases, badge status will reflect the outcome of that verification.

A badge shows that a check was recorded — it is not a guarantee of coverage for every future job.

Tasker responsibilities

Taskers must maintain valid insurance appropriate to their trade, location, and scope of work.

Taskers must update insurance details if cover lapses or changes materially.

Misrepresenting insurance may lead to badge removal and account action.

Customer responsibilities

Customers should review tasker badges, offers, and messages before hiring.

For higher-risk work, customers may request additional proof of cover directly before work begins.

TaskAid does not provide insurance coverage to customers or taskers.

Claims and incidents

Insurance claims relating to work performed are generally matters between the insured tasker, their insurer, and the customer.

Report platform-related incidents or suspected misrepresentation to support@taskaid.com.au.

Limitations

TaskAid does not underwrite jobs and does not replace a tasker's own insurance policy.

Badge display is a marketplace trust signal, not legal advice about whether cover is adequate for a specific task.
